The desert rose is one of the most beautiful plants in the desert! It grows bright pink, red, or white flowers that look like little roses, which is how it got its pretty name. Even though it is called a rose, it is not actually related to real roses at all!
Desert roses originally come from Africa and the Middle East. The thick trunk comes in all sorts of wild, twisty shapes that make each plant look like a tiny, natural sculpture. When desert roses are happy, they can bloom with bunches of bright flowers almost all year long!
