Llamas are tall, fuzzy animals with long necks and big eyes. They come from South America but now live on farms all over the world. Llamas are very gentle and friendly animals!
Llamas have soft, thick fur that can be white, brown, or black. They have long eyelashes, big eyes, and banana-shaped ears. A baby llama is called a cria. Llamas can be up to six feet tall!
Llamas eat grass and hay. They are related to camels and can go a long time without drinking water. Llamas chew their food by moving their jaws from side to side.
- Llamas hum softly to talk to each other.
- They are great guard animals and help protect sheep and goats from danger!
- If a llama is annoyed, it might spit, but they usually only spit at other llamas, not at people.
