Farmers are very important helpers in our community! They work on big farms where they grow many of the yummy foods we eat every day. Farmers plant tiny seeds in the dark soil and wait for them to grow into tall plants.
Farmers are very busy from morning until night. They drive big, green tractors and take care of their crops and animals. They make sure everything gets enough water and sunshine to grow strong. When the food is ready, farmers harvest it and send it to the grocery stores for us to buy.
Without farmers, we would not have all the delicious fruits and vegetables we love! They grow juicy red apples, sweet corn, and crunchy carrots for our families to eat. Next time you eat a healthy snack, remember to say thank you to a hardworking farmer!
- One farmer can grow enough food to feed about 155 people.
- Tractors were invented over 100 years ago to help farmers do their work faster.
- Cows need to eat about 100 pounds of food every single day!
