Flamingos get their pink color from the food they eat. If they did not eat that food, they would be white! They have long, curved necks and a special bent beak. Baby flamingos are born with white or gray feathers.
Flamingos live near lakes and shallow water. They dip their beaks upside down in the water to find food. Flamingos like to live in big groups with lots of other flamingos, sometimes thousands at a time!
