They are amazing hunters that like to sneak up quietly on their prey. Even though tigers are very powerful, they are also endangered, which means there are not many left in the wild.
Tigers have bright orange fur covered with black stripes. Every single tiger has its own special pattern of stripes, just like you have your own fingerprints! Their belly and chest are white. Tigers are very big and can weigh more than 600 pounds. They have large paws with sharp claws and long whiskers on their face.
Tigers live in forests, jungles, and grasslands across Asia. They like to live alone and each tiger has its own area called a territory. Tigers hunt at night and eat animals like deer and wild pigs. They are great swimmers and love to splash and play in the water to cool off on hot days!
