Puffins are small, colorful birds that live near the cold ocean. People sometimes call them “clowns of the sea” because of their funny, colorful faces! Puffins can fly and also swim underwater.
Puffins have bright orange beaks and black and white feathers. Their beaks get even more colorful during the spring. They have short wings that they flap very fast to fly through the air.
