The Pledge of Allegiance is a special promise we make to our country, the United States. Every morning, we stand up tall and put our right hand over our heart to show we are listening with love. We look at the beautiful red, white, and blue flag as we say the words.
When we say the Pledge together, it reminds us that we are all on the same team. Even though we are all different, we live in one big home called America. The flag is like a special team symbol that brings everyone together. Saying the Pledge is a way to show that we are proud of our home.
