The Pacific Ocean is the biggest ocean in the world. It is so large that all the land on Earth could fit inside it and there would still be room left over! It stretches between Asia and Australia on one side and North America and South America on the other side. It covers about 63 million square miles.
- The deepest place on Earth is in the Pacific Ocean.
- It is called the Mariana Trench, and it goes down nearly 36,000 feet.
- That is almost 7 miles deep!
- If you put Mount Everest at the bottom, the top of the mountain would still be underwater.
