Fiji is a group of over 330 islands in the South Pacific Ocean. Only about 110 of the islands have people living on them. The rest are too small or too wild. Fiji is about halfway between Australia and Hawaii.
The islands have bright blue water and colorful coral reefs all around them. Sea turtles, dolphins, and over 1,500 kinds of fish swim in these waters. On land, you can find the Fiji crested iguana, a rare green and white lizard that lives only in Fiji. The islands also have tall palm trees, sandy beaches, and thick jungle full of tropical birds and fruit bats.
