Sheep are fluffy animals covered in soft, thick wool. They like to stay together in a big group called a flock. A baby sheep is called a lamb.
Sheep have thick, curly wool that covers most of their body. They can be white, black, brown, or spotted. Sheep have four legs, a short tail, and some sheep have horns. Their woolly coat keeps them warm in cold weather.
- Farmers cut the sheep’s wool to make warm clothes like sweaters and blankets.
- Do not worry, it does not hurt them!
- It is just like getting a haircut.
- Sheep say “baa” to talk to each other, and a mother sheep can recognize her lamb’s voice out of hundreds of other lambs!
