Labor Day is a special holiday to say thank you to all the people who work! Workers are all around us, like teachers, doctors, and firefighters. Even people who build tall buildings or grow our food are workers. It is like a big thank you party for everyone who has a job!
Most people get to have a day off from school and work on Labor Day. Families often have fun together with a big picnic or a parade. It is a great time to enjoy the last bits of summer and eat yummy food like hot dogs and corn. We say “Great job!” to all the workers who help keep us safe and healthy.
