Dolores Huerta is a brave leader who worked really hard to help farmers and workers in our country! She shows us that if we stand up for others and work together, we can fix big problems. Dolores is one of the most important leaders in American history!
Dolores helped start a special group called the United Farm Workers to protect farm workers and fight for their rights! She also came up with a really famous cheer: “Si se puede!” which means “Yes, it can be done!” in Spanish. She helped make laws to keep families healthy and happy while they work. Dolores spent her whole life standing up for people who needed a voice.
