Diplodocus was one of the longest dinosaurs ever! From head to tail, it was longer than two school buses lined up. Diplodocus was a gentle plant eater that walked on four big legs.
Diplodocus had a very long neck and an even longer tail. Even though it was super long, its head was very small. Its long body was held up by four strong, pillar-like legs.
Diplodocus ate leaves from tall trees by stretching its long neck way up high. It used its peg-like teeth to strip leaves from branches. Diplodocus had to eat all day long to get enough food for its giant body.
- Diplodocus could swing its long tail like a whip to scare away enemies.
- A baby Diplodocus was tiny compared to its giant parents!
- Scientists think Diplodocus could swing its tail as fast as a hurricane wind!
