People work so they can earn money to take care of themselves and their families! When a grown-up goes to work, they earn money to buy food, pay for a home, and get clothes to wear. Working also helps people feel proud because they are doing something important. A firefighter feels proud keeping people safe, and a teacher feels proud helping kids learn new things!
