A place of worship is a special building in our community where people gather to pray and learn. These buildings are often very beautiful and peaceful inside. Families go there with their friends and neighbors to feel happy and safe. Many places of worship have big windows and comfortable seats for everyone to sit together!
Places of worship have many different names. Some people go to a church, a mosque, a synagogue, or a temple. People do many wonderful things there, like singing songs, listening to stories, and celebrating special holidays.
