A grocery store is a very important place in our community where families go to buy food. Inside the store, you can find rows and rows of delicious things to eat, like crunchy cereal, cold milk, and fresh bread. Friendly workers called cashiers help us pay for our food so we can take it home to cook yummy meals!
Some communities also have outdoor markets where farmers bring fruits and vegetables they grew on their farms. You can see colorful apples, orange carrots, and green lettuce piled high on tables. It is so much fun to walk around the market with your family, pick out your favorite snacks, and say hello to your neighbors!
