Mountains are very, very tall landforms that reach high into the sky! Some mountains are so tall that they have cold, white snow on their peaks even in the summer. Hills are like smaller mountains. They are round and green, and they are perfect for rolling down or flying a kite. Both mountains and hills make the world look bumpy and beautiful.
Valleys are the low lands that sit right between mountains or hills. They are often shaped like the letter U or the letter V. Many valleys have pretty flowers, tall trees, and sparkly rivers flowing through them. People and animals like to live in valleys because the ground is flat and there is plenty of water to drink!
