Veterans Day is a very special holiday that happens every year on November 11th. On this day, we say a big “thank you” to the brave men and women who have served in the military. These helpers are called veterans! They worked hard to keep our country safe and help people in many different places.
Veterans have many different jobs. Some flew planes, some worked on big ships, and others helped on the land. They all learned how to be very brave and work as a team. On Veterans Day, we can fly the American flag and say “thank you” to the veterans in our families and neighborhoods!
