Bus drivers are special helpers in our community who drive the big yellow school bus. They wake up early in the morning to pick up children and take them to school. The bus driver sits in a big seat and uses a giant steering wheel to turn the bus. When the bus stops, they pull a handle to open the doors and welcome everyone with a friendly smile!
It is very important for the bus driver to keep everyone safe. They have a big mirror so they can see all the students in the back. They follow all the road signs and stop when they see a red light. At the end of the school day, the bus driver is there to take everyone back home. We are so lucky to have kind bus drivers to help us get where we need to go!
