Mango

Mangoes are one of the most loved fruits in the entire world, and people sometimes call them the “king of fruits” because they taste so amazingly sweet and delicious! They grow on big, leafy trees in warm, tropical places like India, Mexico, and the Philippines. Mango trees can grow really tall, sometimes as high as a 10-story building, and they can keep making fruit for over 300 years. The skin of a mango can be green, yellow, red, or a beautiful mix of all those colors, and the fruit inside is bright orange and super juicy.

There are over 1,000 different kinds of mangoes in the world, and they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes! Each mango has one big, flat seed in the middle that is shaped like a giant almond. Mangoes have been eaten by people for more than 4,000 years, and they are the national fruit of India, where most of the world’s mangoes are grown. Mangoes are full of vitamins that are great for your eyes and skin. You can eat them fresh, blend them into smoothies, put them on top of yogurt, or even enjoy them dried as a chewy, sweet snack!
