Jaime Escalante was an amazing math teacher who believed that every student could be super smart! He taught a very hard math subject called calculus at a high school in Los Angeles. Many people thought his students couldn’t learn such hard math, but Mr. Escalante knew they could do it! He made his classes fun and pushed his students to work harder than ever before.
Because he never gave up on them, his students passed big tests and proved everyone wrong! Mr. Escalante became so famous for being a great teacher that a movie was even made about him. He showed the world that with a caring teacher and lots of practice, kids can learn anything. Jaime Escalante proved that math can be an exciting adventure!
