George Washington Carver was a wonderful scientist who loved plants and nature! He was born a long time ago and grew up to be an expert in farming. He wanted to help farmers grow better crops to feed their families and keep the soil healthy. George taught them to plant sweet potatoes and peanuts because they were super good for the dirt!
George was also an amazing inventor who found over 300 different ways to use peanuts! He made things like soap, lotion, and even paper out of them. He traveled all over to share his brilliant ideas with people everywhere. His hard work and love for plants changed farming forever!
