Steve Wozniak is a brilliant inventor who helped build one of the very first personal computers that people could use at home! He co-founded Apple Computer with his friend Steve Jobs, and his inventions changed the way we all use technology. People call him “Woz” for short!

Steve was born in 1950 in San Jose, California. His dad was an engineer who loved electronics, and Steve became interested in building things when he was very young. By the time he was in fourth grade, he was already crazy about math and science! When he was just 13 years old, he built his very first computer all by himself.

When Steve was a young man, he and his friend Steve Jobs started a company called Apple Computer in a garage. Woz designed the Apple I and then the Apple II, which became one of the first computers that families could buy and use at home. The Apple II could show colors on the screen and play games, and it helped millions of people learn about computers for the very first time!
