Pixar has made many movies that families love to watch together. Their very first movie was Toy Story, which came out in 1995. It was the first movie ever made entirely on a computer! It tells the story of Woody and Buzz Lightyear, two toys that go on a big adventure.

Some other favorite Pixar movies include Finding Nemo, about a little clownfish lost in the ocean, and Monsters, Inc., about friendly monsters who learn that making kids laugh is better than scaring them. Cars is about a race car named Lightning McQueen who learns what really matters in life. Inside Out shows the feelings inside a girl’s mind as little colorful characters.

• Pixar has made over 25 movies since Toy Story came out in 1995.
• Before every Pixar movie, there is a short film called a “Pixar Short.” These little movies are fun to watch too!
• The Pixar lamp, named Luxo Jr., is the studio’s mascot. It hops across the screen and squishes the letter I in the Pixar logo.
• It can take up to 24 hours for Pixar’s computers to create just one frame of a movie, and movies have thousands and thousands of frames!
• Steve Jobs, who also helped create the iPhone, was one of the people who started Pixar.
