Triceratops had three horns on its face and a big bony frill around its head. Its name means “three-horned face.” This dinosaur was about as big as a truck! It used its horns to protect itself from meat-eating dinosaurs.
Triceratops was a plant eater. It munched on ferns and other low-growing plants with its hard beak. Triceratops walked on four strong legs and lived at the same time as T. Rex. Baby Triceratops were small enough to fit in your arms!
