Stegosaurus had big bony plates that stuck up along its back like a row of triangles. It also had sharp spikes on its tail to fight off enemies. This dinosaur was as big as a car but its brain was only the size of a walnut!
Stegosaurus was a gentle plant eater. It walked slowly on four legs and used its beak to munch on plants close to the ground. The plates on its back may have helped it warm up in the sun or cool down in the shade. Stegosaurus is one of the easiest dinosaurs to spot because of its cool, spiky look.
