Pteranodon was a flying reptile that lived at the same time as the dinosaurs. It was not actually a dinosaur, but it was related to them! Pteranodon had huge wings made of skin, like a bat. Its wings stretched wider than a car is long.
Pteranodon had a long pointy beak with no teeth and a cool crest on the back of its head. It ate fish by swooping down over the ocean and scooping them up. Pteranodon could soar through the sky for a long time without flapping its wings. It was one of the biggest flying animals ever!
