Pelicans are big birds with a special pouch under their beaks. They use this pouch like a net to scoop up fish from the water. The pouch can hold a lot of water and fish at once! Pelicans are great fishers.
Pelicans live near oceans, lakes, and rivers. Some pelicans dive into the water from high up in the sky to catch fish. They like to fly together in long lines. Pelicans are very good at floating on the water because their feathers trap air.
