Owls are birds that are awake at night. They have big round eyes that help them see in the dark. Owls can turn their heads almost all the way around! They make a “hoo hoo” sound.
Owls are great hunters. They fly very quietly so other animals cannot hear them coming. Owls eat mice, bugs, and small animals. Some owls are tiny, and some are as big as a small dog!
