Flamingos are tall pink birds with very long legs. They like to stand on one leg, which looks really silly! Flamingos get their pink color from the food they eat. If they did not eat that food, they would be white.
Flamingos live near lakes and shallow water. They dip their beaks upside down in the water to find food. Flamingos like to live in big groups with lots of other flamingos. Baby flamingos are born with white or gray feathers.
