Beluga Whale

The beluga whale is a small, white whale that lives in cold ocean waters. Belugas are sometimes called “sea canaries” because they make lots of fun sounds! They can click, whistle, and squeak to talk to each other. They are very friendly and playful animals.

Beluga whales swim together in groups. They eat fish, shrimp, and squid. Baby belugas are born gray and turn white as they grow up. Belugas can move their heads side to side, which is something most other whales cannot do!
