The arctic hare is a big bunny that lives in the freezing cold Arctic. It has thick, white fur that keeps it warm and helps it hide in the snow. Arctic hares have strong back legs that help them hop really fast. They can run as fast as a car driving through a neighborhood!
Arctic hares eat grass, flowers, and small twigs. In winter, they dig through the snow to find food. Sometimes they huddle together in large groups to stay warm. Their ears are shorter than other rabbits, which helps them keep their body heat in the cold!
