Zebras look like horses with black and white stripes. Every zebra has its own special pattern of stripes, just like your fingerprints are special to you. Zebras have strong legs that help them run very fast. They use their speed to get away from lions and other animals that chase them.
Zebras live in big groups called herds in Africa. They like to eat grass and drink lots of water. Baby zebras can run with the herd when they are just one day old. Zebras are friendly and like to stand close together to keep each other safe.
